The minimum depth for ef fect i ve weed suppress ion i s 5cm (2’ ’ ) . I f the soi l i s very heavy and chalky, you can apply Composted Bark Fines to a depth of 10cm (4’ ’ ) . I f you are us ing Composted Bark Fines as a mulch, spread them on the soi l wi th the help of a rake to a depth of 2 .5-5cm (1 ″ -2″ ) .
